The Ultimate Aim

We all have an aim in our lives. We all have a goal we strive towards. Whether its something short term, or something pertaining to the future far off; all of us have some destination in mind, that we want to reach within a time period, set by us or people around us.
But, what is our final goal in life? What is our 'Ultimate Aim'..? What destination are we treading towards on this journey? No one really knows. Some people say 'success' but they have problems describing and sometimes, even spelling the word( thank you, SMS, twitter, facebook, etc). Truth is; life ends in death. Yet, none of us really wants it to end that way. If anyone says "I live my life, to die", he/she is being a hypocrite of the highest standard.
Its like saying "I am as cool as a platypus playing a keytar" which is totally and completely untrue.

Yes, platypus playing keytars do exist; but you can never be as awesome as them.

Anyways, therefore, we can conclude that no one wants to die; but everyone has certain goals planned for themselves in life. We can also say that animals have the ability to play musical instruments too; but that's besides the point...
Each of us can divide our goals into two categories; long-term-plans, and short-term-plans.
Yes, Mr.Burns, we know you have a plan too.

Short term plans: They are plans that you make for a comparatively short period of time; like, "I am going to get my laundry done tomorrow" or, "i am going to go to disneyland next weekend." Anyways, these plans are more or less, subjected to one's wants, whims and mood; and they are changed or modified pretty easily; also they are often achieved quite easily.

Lets go camping! A short term goal. ACHIEVED.

Long Term Plans: They concern a longer time-frame than long term plans. They often go up to take huge importance in certain phases of our life and they even shape some of our very human characteristic and behavior. For example, "I am going to ask her to marry me!" or, "I am going to become an astronaut!" are typical long term plans. They are harder to execute than short term plans, but they give a higher level of satisfaction when completed.

George Bush's Long term plan to take over the world. FAIL!!!

And then, there is that third kind of Aim, that we have in our life. The kind that helps us face everyday with a renowned vigor. Its unknown, unseen, and unfelt. Its not even omnipresent. Its just there; in a little corner in our subconscious. Some call it curiosity, to go forward in life and explore the unknown. Some say, its god! And some even say that it is human perseverance, to try and get themselves to be remembered even after their minds have departed; and bodies have decayed.
But, even though it has no description, what matters is, that its there.
And I think, it's not one thing; Its the culmination of all the goodwill and bad treatment we have received as long as we have lived. It serves as a harbor, for all our emotions; and tells us whom we have to repay; and what we have to avenge by the time we are no more.
And that is the spark of life.

That is the ultimate Aim in all of our lives, that takes us forward, one step at a time.
But, whats truly beautiful about it, is that its indescribable.
like a wise old man once said; "what is there in a life, where things are foreknown?"

and yes, I did tell you all I perceive about a singular topic and then render it undefinable. Which also means I wasted your time. I hope you had as much fun reading this blog, as I did writing it.
:)
